JUNIOR BOOT CAMPS

for ages 5-8 and 9-11

 

9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

FEE:  $345 reduced to $295 if paid 30 days in advance

JUNIOR BOOT CAMP CURRICULUM

 5 day program

A comprehensive program with training in commercial skills, improvisation, TV-film sceneworkas well as sharpening general audition and presentation skills through interviews and mock auditions. Each day also includes a fun arts and crafts activity. Classes on the campus of Cal State University, Northridge, California, approximatle 12 miles northwest of Hollywood.

 

On-Camera :  Audition dynamics and commercial skills

#1:  Commercial basics, One person commercials

#2:  Two-person commercials, Threshold skills

#3:  Refresh threshold skills, Group Audition

#4.  Ad lib commercials

#5:  Perform skills learned throughout week

 

Improv and Character Dynamics

#1:  Improv Basics, CROW - Fundamentals

#2:  Learning to create dialogue in improv

#3:  CROW improvs,Creating Characters

#4:  Pantomine, characters and improv games

#5:  Review and polish skills

 

Scene Work

#1:  Cold read scenes * work with partner

#2:  Back stories *  Memorize scenes

#3:  Block scenes * Character Dynamics

#4:  Polish scenes

#5:  Perform scenes

HOUSING AVAILABLEon campus at CAL STATE UNIV in Northridge for $65 - $98 a day for parent with 1-4 kids.

 

SPECIAL PARENT TRAINING provided to parents of all junior boot campers -- learn how to find and work effectively with agents and managers, how to navigate thru the showbiz jungle, what to expect, what to avoid, how to make sure your child is prepared and ready to book the jobs in a very competitive industry. We'll help you with headshots and resumes, understanding unions, Taft-Hartley, financial core, labor laws as well as cranky agents and casting directors...
